Theme 4 is about Media bias. We actually want you, the students, to discover the bias that exists in different forms of media.
We will begin by using two lesson plans from MediaSmarts, a Canadian not-for-profit charitable organization for digital and media literacy.
We will then use different newspapers to locate some current international theme and investigate if it is treated in the same way, if it is the front page or inside of it, if each publication has a different bias, a different reporting style, if the newspapers report the same sort of things and who gets most coverage, if it is the same in all of them, etc.
